Matt Alford Studio is a small metalworking and design studio based in West Hollywood. We specialize in creating brass lighting fixtures and home wares. Our motto is "we make things to help you feel at home."
We are seeking a part-time Studio Assistant to join our team and contribute to the creation of our brass lighting and homewares. As a Studio Assistant, you will play a vital role in various aspects of our production process, including metal finishing, assembly, wiring, packaging, and shipping. Our small yet friendly team offers a supportive and collaborative work environment.
While prior experience is preferred, it is not necessary as long as you possess a strong desire to work with your hands and a willingness to learn. We value enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the creation of our products, assisting in the finishing and assembly of our brass lighting fixtures.
- Support packaging and shipping efforts, which may involve handling boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the studio, including inventory management, cleaning, organizing, and running simple errands.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with our production and logistics coordinators to ensure smooth studio operations.
* Our studio operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Ideally, you will be available to assist us for approximately 20 hours per week within our operating hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
