The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Child Support Services is seeking to hire a qualified and motivated professional to join our Program & Business Services team in the roll of Office Coordinator. This position will research and gather informational material relating to program operations and will assist with special projects and studies. Additionally, this position will keyboard complex and technical statistical data, charts, exhibits, memos, reports and other information.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and analytical to be successful performing the operations of the Program and Business Services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs paraprofessional duties for the manager of the Program and Business Services Section in the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS)
  • Assists with special projects and studies
  • Coordinates facilities management for DCSS offices
  • Performs a variety of complex clerical activities
  • Lifts and moves boxes of supplies and equipment weighing between 50 and 100 pounds
  • Keyboards and reviews requisitions, vouchers and forms
  • Screens calls for manager and staff
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and two years of related office experience, or two years of independent business experience
  • Requires the ability to keyboard 30 words per minute

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires the ability to pass a background check
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
  • This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
