As a director of partner experience integrated strategy and business operations on the Partner Experience Innovation Center (PEIC) team, you will play a leadership role in reinventing the retail partner experience in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders across the North America business. You will lead the strategy, planning and delivery of an integrated portfolio and roadmap of initiatives and programs that deliver measurable value to partners and to the business. Lead at Scale:
- Models leadership behaviors that are grounded in Starbucks Mission and Values
- Ability to influence broadly up, down and across the enterprise to mobilize partners to support program deliverables in balance with their day to day priorities
- Leads project and change management responsibilities related to projects spanning multiple business units and functions
- Ensures that stakeholders are informed and engaged and is accountable for all stakeholder engagement activities and communication delivery
- Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports, if applicable, and promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
- Leads and influences across functions, regions and cultures. Works closely with functional, regional and program leadership to align the organization for successful deployment of large-scale initiatives.
- Ability to function effectively in a highly ambiguous environment with the flexibility to change course as required to respond to new situations
Deliver an integrated partner experience strategy and portfolio, while driving to business outcomes:
- Builds partnerships within business units and other functional areas, to develop and maintain an integrated strategy and roadmap of key initiatives and programs, tied to performance outcomes
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional programs, projects and activities.
- Identifies risks and issues impacting successful implementation of strategic initiatives and works with program teams to develop resolution.
- Connect strategy work with operational plans, supporting day-to-day business operations needs as well as enterprise level business planning activities such as strategic plan and financial plan.
- Identifies problems that need to be solved and creates a case for change.
- Identifies opportunities for business process transformation and gains executive support and alignment for prioritization of those opportunities.
- Ability to story tell and lead the preparation of various executive level strategic presentations.
- Ability to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional settings.
Lead a team of problems solvers:
- Drives the engagement, development and performance of all members of their team
- Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities
- Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results
- Conducts quarterly performance and development conversations
- Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
- Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Progressive experience in program management or portfolio management for a large, global company: 10 years
- Business system and process development: 5 years
- Supervision of diverse work groups (if applicable for direct reports): 5 years
- Working across organizational boundaries at all levels, including executive positions: 5 years
- Manage large teams both reporting direct or indirect
- Advanced experience with core technology tools like Microsoft office, & virtual collaboration tools
