Duties:
- Assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, car rentals, and activities
- Provide recommendations and advice on travel destinations, attractions, and local customs
- Research and gather information on travel options, such as flight schedules, hotel availability, and visa requirements
- Collaborate with airlines, hotels, and other travel partners to secure the best deals and negotiate rates
- Process payments and handle booking confirmations for clients along with follow up communication on specifics about their trip
- Handle any changes or cancellations to travel plans, ensuring smooth transitions for clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in travel regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a travel agent or in a related customer service role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, hotels, and other travel services
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings and payments
- Proficient in using computer reservation systems and online booking platforms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, and possess a self-starter attitude. The ability to assist clients as needed and complete orientation/coaching are necessary. Candidates must also have access to a computer, phone, and high-speed internet.
