Our client is a leader in advanced therapies for the sports medicine and severe burn care markets, and has an exciting new opportunity for a high performing Regional Sales Director looking to join and contribute to a high growth Biotech/Medtech company with multiple Cell Therapy products on the market as well as a strong balance sheet. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales.

The Regional Director (RD) is accountable for providing leadership, direction, and developmental guidance to a team of Account Managers in pursuit of commercial launch objectives. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the RD will participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans in order to meet and exceed sales goals and business objectives while remaining aligned with the company's values. Travel requirements will vary by region. Covers the west coast with a preference for living in CA, AZ, CO (near major airport)

Responsibilities

    Work closely with management to establish corporate objectives specific to the assigned region
  • Work closely with the Account Management team and field clinical team in the hospitals and burn centers.
    • With team and business partner input, develop, evolve, and execute regional business plans.
    • Eliminate or minimize barriers to progress, engaging the VP of Sales when appropriate regarding marketplace trends, business opportunities & threats, competitive information, and recommendations for addressing each.
    • Leverage internal expertise to maximize field impact.
    • Manage regional budget and resource allocations to maximize return on investment.
  • Hire and develop account managers and nurse specialists for expansions or replacements who will effectively advance the company’s business in alignment with strategic goals
    • Identify and attract professionals who will excel in the burn and wound care space
    • Lead, teach, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve/exceed sales objectives in their assigned sales territory.
    • Engage team frequently, including regular field visits & business reviews, listening to and coaching them to identify and maximize opportunities and leverage successes.
    • Foster a solution orientation throughout the region.
    • Provide verbal and written feedback – positive and developmental – to foster a positive and productive environment of achievement that embraces personal accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in the Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years in bioscience commercial positions, including some but not limited to the following: sales representative, hospital representative, sales trainer, district manager, marketing manager, regional account manager, government affairs, and sales operations. Wound or Burn experience a plus.
  • 5+ years of previous leadership experience required.
  • Recent experience in hospitals or ORs or burn centers
  • Ability to influence and drive business performance through the establishment and management of key performance metrics.
  • Strong track record leading teams demonstrating the ability to coach and mentor others to reach or exceed organizational goals.
  • Ability to hold others accountable for organizational goals and take action when team members are not meeting expectations.

  • Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations.
