Position Summary:
Kakivik Asset Management, LLC is seeking a dynamic individual contributor to fill the position of AR Specialist. This position will work closely with a large team of cross-functional business partners across several member companies and the broader finance team to develop scalable accounting and operation solutions for month end close activities. As a self-starter, the ideal candidate will take full ownership of assigned areas of responsibility, excel in problem solving, and analyze and understand complex data.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Process client bills
- Research and provide answers to accounting and billing questions
- Review and edits pre-bills in response to sales related questions and requests
- Follow up on outstanding client invoices
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required by client
- Identify and discuss billing and A/R status problems with management and develop strategies to address issues, inefficiencies and optimization
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc reports for manager as needed/requested
- Assist in project set-up and understand contract nuances
- Track and process accounts and incoming payments
- Provide support to time entry and AP teams
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of assigned areas
- Serve as a representative of the company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions
- Complete other duties, tasks, and activities as required

- Thorough understanding of accounting cycles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide cross section of individuals

- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Innovative aptitude and desire for continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes

- Meeting of all internal and external deadlines
- Document all key accounting processes and desktop procedures

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area is preferred
- Strong Accounting knowledge and previous AR experience
- Experience with Microsoft office (especially Excel)
- 3+ years of experience in a financial position of similar scope, including general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or cash management is preferred
